Fair Board names Parr new executive director
Jaime Parr is the new executive director of the Nebraska State Fair. The State Fair Board approved Parr’s appointment at its meeting on Friday after naming her interim executive director in October. Nebraska State Fair won Five first place awards in the annual International Association of Fairs and Exhibitions (IAFE) competitions. Winners were announced Thursday in an online video presentation. The annual competition pits fairs of similar size against each other in areas of Communications and Marketing, Competitive Events, Agricultural Awards, Sponsorship Development, and Non-Fair Facility usage. State Fair Attendance up Nearly 8%
The Nebraska State Fair finished its successful 11-day run in Grand Island on Labor Day Monday with reason to celebrate. The State Fair had a 7.9% increase in attendance, finishing with an estimated 11-day total of 287,367 guests.
