The Nebraska State fairgrounds offer services and amenities to help accommodate our guests with differing abilities and for those who need additional assistance and consideration during their visit!
Fair-Tastic Friday!
The Nebraska State Fair wants to provide an experience that is safe, fun, and inclusive for all! Join us on Friday, September 1st from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. for Fair-Tastic Friday! The Nebraska State Fair is partnering with the Enable Savings Plan to provide a sensory-friendly environment for individuals of any age with differing abilities. This event will include a resource fair for parents and caretakes to discover resource organizations in the community along with sensory friendly activities in a private area for just those attending the event. The carnival will be operating with dimmed lights and low sounds from 1:00 P.M to 3:00 P.M. Registration will include one free ticket with the purchase of one general admission ticket.

Low stimulation Sensory room
The Nebraska State Fair will have a low stimulation sensory room during the 2023 State Fair! This space is designed for individuals who would benefit from a low-sensory environment and those who have sensory-processing challenges! Come enjoy a calm space dedicated to helping decompress and provide a more gentle surrounding. Enjoy various activities and a safe space! This room is located in Room 5 of the Bosselman’s Conference Center and open daily from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M!
Wheelchair & Scooter Rentals
Pick up a scooter or wheelchair at the Main Gate or North Gate. Rentals are on a first-come first-serve basis. We recommend reserving in advance to ensure availability.
Electric Mobility Scooters: $70.00 (8:00 A.M. – 11:00 P.M.)
Wheelchairs: $25.00/day
Wagons: $20.00/day
Single Stroller: $20.00/day
Double Stroller: $25.00/day
Hometown Mobility is now accepting reservations for wheelchairs and electric mobility scooters. Reservations will only be accepted for full-day rentals. Reserve online at www.Htmia.Com or call Hometown Mobility at (712) 938-2029 from 9:00 A.M.. – 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, and on weekends during the fair.
Note: Reservations made by phone are subject to a $5.00 call-in fee. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Cancellation must be made 48 hours in advance to receive a refund, less A $5.00 cancellation fee per rental unit.
ADA Accessible Parking
We will have free ADA accessible parking available at the Main Gate, located off of South Locust Street. As well as Gate #6, located off of Fonner Park Road. Please refer to the map below!

Courtesy Carts
Courtesy carts are available daily to provide rides from one location to another on grounds. Each cart is labeled with a courtesy cart sign and driven by a volunteer wearing their signature yellow shirts. Carts are always on the move as there are no set pick up locations. To request a ride visit any of the info kiosks throughout the grounds, find a State Fair employee, or a volunteer supervisor identified by their orange shirts!
