The Nebraska State Fair wants to provide an experience that is safe, fun, and inclusive for all! Join us on Friday, September 4th from 10 am to 2 pm for our fourth ever Fair-Tastic Friday! The fair will provide a sensory-friendly environment for individuals of any age with physical or developmental disabilities. Those who register in advance will receive half-priced tickets for a guardian and their special guest.

Schedule of Events:

Resource Fair: 10 am – 2 pm (Shaded Seating Tent East of Food Pod 3)

Discover helpful organizations and resources in the community for those of all ages with physical or developmental disabilities. There will be many activities and free swag available!

Remarkable Rodeo: 10:15 am (US Foods Outdoor Arena)

This adaptive rodeo event is open to individuals ages 3-25. They are invited to participate in simulated rodeo events while accompanied by a cowboy. Please have your child wear closed-toed shoes or boots (no open-toed shoes, flip flops, sandals, etc.). Families are encouraged to come cheer on their contestant. 

*Pre-registration required. Look for signage and meet at the doors on the Southwest corner of the arena. Walkers and wheelchairs permitted.

Low Sensory Carnival: 1 pm – 3 pm (Wade Shows Carnival)

The Wade Shows Carnival will be operating with dimmed sounds and lights to accommodate our Fair-Tastic Friday guests during the afternoon. 

*All participants must purchase a carnival wristband to gain entry to the carnival.
