Team Roping

Two ropers, one calf, and a whole lot of teamwork make this an exciting event to watch.

Here’s how it works: the first roper, called the header, bursts out of the box and ropes the steer around the horns. The second roper, the heeler, follows close behind and ropes the steer’s back feet. The clock stops the moment both ropers have made their catch and pull those ropes taut.
