2 Hours -- Go!

Busy Moms -- We're Here to Help

You've got just a couple hours to see all you can see. Here's a guide to help you locate some of the great things on your route.

Main Gate, hook a left:
  • Enter the Game & Parks exhibition. Find archery, live trout, walking paths, and education about Nebraska's good outdoor life.
  • Head down to Sandtastic and see what's been sculpted. Step out into the lobby of the Nebraska Building and grab a Visitors Guide.
  • Enter Raising Nebraska...so much to do here! Learn all about how your food is grown.
  • Exit and take a jaunt toward the animals, but first stop at Hedrick's Petting Zoo, right there in the Family Fun Zone.
  • Walk on to see cows, goats, pigs and sheep in the livestock barns. Stop first at the Sheep Barn to find the Birthing Pavilion to see baby animals born daily. THIS you cannot beat!
  • Continue through the Five Points Bank Arena (some shows in there) and keep heading south to find all colors of cattle in the Tom Dinsdale Automotive Cattle Barn. If you pop out to the front of the barn, you'll find the Milking Parlor.
  • Keep on going south to find a mechanical bull in the Pump & Pantry Party Pit -- and dad can enjoy a beverage.
  • As you wind back north you can find all the food your tummy can stand from gourmet donut burgers to pineapple whip to bourbon honey pulled pork.

OK! So that was probably more than 2 hours, but you get the idea! If you stay longer, you'll find sea lions, sharks, leaping dogs and ranch rodeo in the East Entertainment Area. And of course, buy an all-day wristband to enjoy carnival thrills on the Midway!
