| The Older Nebraskans Festival on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 will provide a day of entertainment along with health, wellness, and informational exhibits. The festival is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Heartland Events Center with complimentary coffee and cake for the first 300 seniors, sponsored by Hy-Vee of Grand Island. The exhibits will be available from 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. and fair gate admission is only $2.
To make the festival even more inviting, country music legend, Mel Tillis will be performing at 11:00 a.m. in the Heartland Events Center. The show is free with paid gate admission into the Fair.
Mel has recorded more than 60 albums. He has had thirty-six Top Ten singles, with nine of them going to Number One - "Good Woman Blues," "Coca Cola Cowboy," and "Southern Rain" to mention a few. He has been in the music/entertainment business now for 50 plus years. Mel Tillis and his band, the Statesiders, have worked concerts all over the 50 states, Canada, England, and other countries.

The 2010 Entertainment Series is presented by the Nebraska Lottery and co-sponsored by Bristol Windows and U.S. Cellular. Additions to the 2010 Entertainment Series will be released soon.
