History of the Track
Live Horse racing has taken place at State Fair Park for more than 75 years. The sport of kings has been a staple of entertainment in Lincoln for many generations. Most people can recall the first time they visited the track with a parent or a grandparent. The excitement in the announcer’s voice as the horses race down the stretch towards the finish line. It’s something that everyone remembers from their first experience at the track.
Live and Simulcast Information
Currently, State Fair Park runs the live racing meet spring through mid-summer. In addition to the live meet, State Fair Park offers simulcast wagering seven days a week from approximately 11:00 am until 11:00 pm on a year round basis. A fan can come to the Grandstand Clubhouse's 4th floor and watch, wager, and win on the best tracks in the country. We take wagers on all the major tracks in the U.S. including tracks such as Churchill, Belmont, Santa Anita and Saratoga just to name a few. Admission during simulcast is free and we offer a full menu of food and beverage items.
