Planning is currently underway for the 2014 Nebraska State Fair. But, take a look at the fun that took place at the 2013 Nebraska State Fair below!
Five Dollar Days (13 years & older) - $5
On Monday, August 26, Tuesday, August 27, Wednesday, August 28, adult gate admission will be $5. The $5 adult gate admission admits (1) one adult., who is 13 years or older, for (1) day. This ticket may only be purchased at the gate, on $5 discount day. The $5 gate tickets are not valid August 23 through August 25 or August 29 - September 2, 2013
Season Pass Gate Admission - $55
The Season Admission Pass is valid from August 23 through September 2, 2013. The Season Admission Pass is one ticket which will allow (1) one person (1) one entry for all (11) eleven days of the Fair.
Preferred Parking - $10
This pass will allow (1) one vehicle into the parking lot north of the Midway (Gate 6), nearest the north public entrance, on any (1) one day.
Free parking is available in other lots.
County Fair Day
Saturday, August 24
County Fair Day County Fairs across the state, giving them the opportunity to be recognized and to showcase their Fair. There is no registration cost to participate in County Fair Day.

Established in 1989, the Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation is dedicated to the growth and support of the Nebraska State Fair. The purpose of the Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation is to raise funds for the overall improvement of the Nebraska State Fair. Join the Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation and continue the winning tradition of education, competition and celebration. Young or old, Nebraskans have gained from their State Fair experiences and have used new knowledge, skills, talents, and creativity throughout their lives!

Nebraska's Largest Classroom Presented by John Deere
Monday, August 26 & Tuesday, August 27
Nebraska's Largest Classroom is a self-guided field trip where students and teachers have the opportunity to enjoy hundreds of exhibits, view entertainment at every turn, and learn about Nebraska. Public and home schools are invited to participate in Nebraska's Largest Classroom and must pre-register. Admission is FREE for K-6th grade students, teachers, sponsors, and bus drivers.
The Nebraska State Fair offers a lunch program for Nebraska's Largest Classroom participants. Lunch will be available from 11:30 am to 1:00 p.m. Each lunch costs $2 and includes a hot dog, bag of chips, fruit, dessert, and beverage. Advance registration for the lunch program is required. Lunch registrations will not be accepted the day of Nebraska's Largest Classroom.

Older Nebraskan's Day Presented by Riverside Lodge Retirement Community

The festival is provided for seniors 60 years and older.

Area agencies distribute information regarding health & wellness, retirement communities, and government agencies.

Gate admission to the Fair not included
Wristband required, first come, first serve basis
Mel Tillis will perform at 11:00a.m. and 3:00p.m. in the Heartland Events Center.Wristbands are required for entry into the concert and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Wristbands will be available and valid ONLY on August 28, 2013. Wristband distribution will begin at 8:00 a.m. Visit the Heartland Events Center Box Office the day of the concert to obtain a wristband. There is a limit of 2 wristbands per person.
Wristbands are divided into four entry times per concert:
*11:00 a.m. show entry times are 9:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m.
*3:00 p.m. show entry times are 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m.
*Entry times are subject to change pending artist approval.
All wristbands must be secured on the wrist for entry into the concert. You will only be permitted to enter AFTER the specified entry time on your wristband. Wristbands guarantee admission but not necessarily a seat.

Nebraska Cattlemen's Day

The Nebraska State Fair will host the second annual Nebraska Cattleman’s Day in cooperation with the Nebraska Cattlemen Association and the Sandhills Cattle Association. This day celebrates the Nebraska Beef Industry. Tickets to Nebraska Cattleman’s Day barbeque are available through the Nebraska Cattlemen, The Sandhills Cattle Association or by calling the fair office at 308.384.0624.
Veterans Day Celebration Presented by Harley-Davidson Central
Monday, September 2
Honoring ALL MILITARY SERVICE MEN and WOMEN who are serving and have served for our country including a special recognition of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom Veterans.
Gate admission is FREE, all day, for personnel with appropriate identification.
(Example: Military ID, VA ID Card, VA Medical Card, Veterans Organization Membership Card, Discharge Papers, etc.)
Veterans Day Celebration Program
Heartland Events Center, 9:00 a.m.
A special Veterans Program in honor of all our military service men and women.
Veterans Day Parade
Parade Route, 2:00 p.m.
All Veterans, Auxiliary members, Color Guards, marching units, floats, and vehicles are invited to participate in the Veterans Day Parade. You are encouraged to wear your uniform or any part of your uniform.
