Barn Discovery Experience a tour of the barns and learn more about the livestock and animals seen in Nebraska farms and ranches. Tours will begin inside the Sheep Barn Foyer.

The Livestock Birthing Pavilion is a large-animal birthing area, a farrowing area, and a poultry hatching area giving State Fair guests the opportunity to witness live animal births overseen by trained professionals from the University of Nebraska Pre-Vet Medicine Program. Nebraska's Largest Classroom
Monday, August 29, 2011 & Tuesday, August 30, 2011 - Located throughout the fairgroundsNebraska's Largest Classroom is a self-guided field trip where students and teachers have the opportunity to enjoy all the hundreds of exhibits and grounds entertainment that are intended to educate, entertain, and encourage lifelong learning. Public and home schools are invited to participate in Nebraska's Largest Classroom. In the past, approximately 3,000 students, K-6th grade, and teachers that represent over 80 public, private, and home schools have attended this event.

PEPSI MAX NASCAR Simulator brought to you by your Grand Island HyVee
4-H & FFA BuildingExperience the thrill of a race car with the PEPSI MAX NASCAR Simulator! This Top End Racing simulator is an actual race car that has been specially modified for a computer simulation, so the driver has all of the excitement of racing in an actual race car. This is the race car the pro's train in! The car reacts to the drivers' action.

Turn the steering wheel to follow the track.
Brake and you will slow down.
Step on the gas and you accelerate.
Steering has full force feed back along with seat vibration.Monitors are set up outside for viewing equipped with screen on screen displaying for both driver and spectator.

Stuhr Museum
Kidz ZoneAll the fun of Stuhr Museum's 1890's Living History Railroad Town comes to the Nebraska State Fair. The museum that brings the story of Nebraska's first towns to life feature dozens of hands-on, historical and artistic activities in the State Fair's Kids Zone, including live blacksmithing, coloring, word games, stilts, and time period children's games. Exhibition BuildingPresented by the Nebraska Dairy Council and Nebraska Farm Bureau, guests enjoy a three dimensional cow that allows a realistic hands on milking experience.
