The 1868 Foundation Gift Shop offers Nebraska State Fair souvenirs including t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, hats, baby apparel, pins, magnets, cow bells, and more!

  • Free Parking
  • The Nebraska State Fair offers free parking. The west parking lot and main entrance on State Fair Boulevard can be accessed from South Locust Street. The east parking lot can be accessed from Stuhr Road. Bus parking will be available on the North side of the grounds. Vendors and livestock exhibitors will be directed to the appropriate parking in their welcome packets that they will receive prior to the Fair.

 

  • Off-Site Parking Shuttle Service presented by Arrow Stage Lines

    The Nebraska State Fair offers several off-site parking locations throughout Grand Island, along with shuttle service to and from the Fair. At the fairgrounds, buses load and unload at the north gate into the Family Fun Zone. At the off-site shuttle locations, NSF signage will designate the exact pick-up spot.

    Courtesy transportation, via tractor-drawn shuttles, is provided on the fairgrounds. Trams on the fairgrounds are free. Tram stops are designated with signage and also identified on the NSF grounds map distributed at all gates.

    Main and North Gates

    HomeTown Mobility of Merrill, IA is now accepting reservations online www.htmia.com or by calling 1-877-928-5388 from 9am-5pm Monday – Friday and on weekends during the fair; and as always hold a limited number of wheelchairs and scooters for walk-up customers on a first come first serve basis. Reservations will ONLY be accepted for full day Scooter and Wheelchair rentals. Reservations need to be made 24hrs in advance. Security deposit of a driver’s license is required for all rentals. Cancellations must be made 48 hrs in advance to receive a full refund, less a $5 cancellation fee per rental unit.   • Persons with Disabilities

    All major exhibit buildings at the Fairgrounds are ADA accessible with paved streets or sidewalks. There are curb cuts throughout the fairgrounds.

  • Personal wheelchairs, including motorized, can be brought on the Fairgrounds. Wheelchairs and scooters can be rented at the Nebraska State Fair's main and north entrances, on a first come first serve basis. Click here, to make a reservation or for additional rental information.

  • Personal golf carts are not allowed on the grounds due to liability issues.

  • All trams, on interior of the fairgrounds, are equipped with a wheelchair/scooter lift.
  • Courtesy Carts are provided for the mobility impaired in extenuating circumstances. Request a courtesy cart from any NSF staff or volunteer.

  • Trained service animals are welcome at the State Fair. Please check back at a later time for our complete pet policy.

  • Handicapped-assessable parking is located at main gate, gate 6, and gate 8. Paved, handicapped-assessable parking is located at the north main gate, Gate 6, off of Fonner Park Road. Vehicles must have a handicap hangtag or license plate to park in a handicapped-assessable parking lot.

  • A suggested drop-off location is at our north gate, accessed via Gate 5A, in the motorcoach bus loading/unloading area. This gate can be accessed for drop-off purposes only. Parking is prohibited in this area. Parking is available in an adjacent area, accessed via Gate 6, and includes handicap parking or paid/preferred parking only. Handicap parking is free but requires a handicap placard or license plate. Paid/preferred parking is $10. There is no free general parking available on this side of the fairgrounds. If neither the handicap parking nor the paid/preferred parking fits your vehicle needs, you will be required to relocate to vehicle to one of the general parking lots (located on the east and west sides of the fairgrounds). If you anticipate a need to drop-off, please contact our office at 308.385.3924.

  • Accessible seating areas are reserved in all buildings where needed. Accessible seating in concerts should be requested when purchasing concert tickets. For accessible seating at concerts, please contact the Heartland Events Center Box Office at 308-398-1480.

  • Hearing impaired interpreters can be provided at all NSF concerts, but must be requested in advance of the concert date. At least 10 days notice is appreciated.

  • Mom's Nursing Lounge presented by Saint Francis Medical Center
    Welcome Center

    The Mom's Nursing Lounge offers a private, climate controlled area for moms and their babies. Educational information will also be available.

     

    Diaper Changing Facilities
  • There are diaper changing facilities located in some of the restrooms in the 4-H/FFA/Commercial Building, Welcome Center, Exhibition Building, Sheep Barn, Five Points Bank Arena, Cattle Barn, and Swine Barn.

  • Credit Cards

    Visa and MasterCard  are accepted at each gate for admission. At this time, etix.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit or debit cards for your purchase. Many of our vendors and exhibitors accept credit cards for purchases on-site. However, at the discretion of the vendor/exhibitor, not all of these options may be available.

 

  • Automated Teller Machines (ATM)

    Checks are not accepted at the Nebraska State Fair.

  • Ready cash may be obtained from ATM's located throughout the fairgrounds. ATMs are marked on the NSF map which is also available in the Gatebook and daily schedules distributed at the main gates. Download the NSF mobile app to access an interactive, GPS-integrated NSF map.

    There will be Wi-Fi hot spots throughout the Fairgrounds.

 

  • Emergency Services

    For emergencies services, dial 911 or notify any State Fair Staff, Volunteer, State Patrol Officer, or Security Officer. The NSF has emergency responders/paramedics on-site who are able to respond immediately.

  • First Aid Services presented by Saint Francis Medical Center
    Welcome Center

    For minor medical services, the First Aid Station is located in the Welcome Center.

    For serious medical emergencies dial 911 or notify any State Fair Staff, Volunteer, State Patrol Officer, or Security Officer. The NSF has emergency responders on-site who are able to respond immediately.

 

  • Lost and Found
    Welcome Center

    Lost and Found, during the NSF, is located at the Welcome Center on State Fair Boulevard. Following the Fair, items will be transferred to the NSF Administration Office. Items will be kept until December 31, following the Fair, and then be donated to charitable organizations.

    * The NSF is not responsible for lost or stolen articles in cars or on the person attending the NSF.

 

  • Lost Persons and Child Identification Wristbands
    Welcome Center

    The NSF suggests establishing the Welcome Center as a meeting place, should your party get separated. To help ensure your child’s safety, the NSF offers FREE child identification wristbands at the Welcome Center. Should your child become separated from you, the wristband will assist us in reuniting you with your child. Report lost persons to any State Fair staff, volunteer, State Patrol Officer, or security officer.

 

  • Info Booths

    Grain bin information booths are located throughout the fairgrounds. Volunteer info booth attendants have access to a key word searchable database of fair information, events, and locations. Info booths are marked on the NSF map which is also available in the Gatebook and daily schedules distributed at the main gates. Download the NSF mobile app to access an interactive, GPS-integrated NSF map.

  • Security

    Nebraska State Patrol and Double Locked Security provide 24 hour security on the NSF fairgrounds. Both agencies maintain offices on the fairgrounds. Nebraska State Patrol Officers are in uniform. Double Locked Security Officers wear grey shirts labeled “Security.”

  • “You Are Here” Maps

    Large maps are located throughout the fairgrounds to assist with navigation. Or, download the NSF mobile app to access an interactive, GPS-integrated NSF map.

  • Medication

    If you have a medical condition that requires medication, coolers are permitted for those who need to keep medications cooled. The NSF does not provide cooler storage.

  • Vehicle Assistance

    NSF has an on-site towing service that provides free assistance with unlock services, dead battery, or tire changes. Should your vehicle need towed that will be at the expense of the vehicle owner.

  • NSF relocates all involuntarily towed vehicles to an on-site location. Vehicles towed from areas marked with “no parking” signage will be assessed a $10 towing fee. Fees must be paid upon retrieval of the vehicle. Vehicles towed from areas that do not have “no parking” signage, will not be assessed a fee.

  • Notify a parking attendant or NSF Security if you need to contact the towing service or if your vehicle has been towed.

  • Hotel Information

    There are many hotels and campgrounds available within Grand Island and the surrounding area.
