FAIR SERVICES

Free Parking:

The Nebraska State Fair offers free parking.  Gate entrances into State Fair Park for free public parking can be accessed using the 27th street entrance or the Antelope Valley Parkway (former 14th street) entrance.  There is also public parking located west of the Antelope Valley Parkway (former 14th street) entrance. 

 

Free Shuttle:

Park your car and take the free State Fair shuttle service.

Two Busses will be running from Bed, Bath & Beyond on North 27th Street, stopping to pick up additional passengers at the North 27th Street Plaza (the old Payless Cashway/Rod Kush furniture store/currently Center fro People in Need) at 3901 N 27th Street.

Busses will run in a loop between Bed, Bath and Beyond, North 27th Street Plaza and State Fair Park during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29; Sunday, August 30; Saturday, September 5; Sunday, September 6; and Monday, September 7.

Please park in the far west end of the Bed, Bath & Beyond parking lot.

 

“People Mover” Shuttle Service:

Courtesy transportation, via tractor-drawn shuttles, is available.  Shuttles are provided for free.  See map for route details.

 

Scooter and Wheelchair Rentals : 

HomeTown Mobility of Hartley, Iowa always holds a limited number of wheelchairs and electric scooters to be available for walk-up customers on a first come, first serve basis. All other wheelchairs and scooters are dedicated for reservations. (See below for instructions on how to reserve a scooter/wheelchair for a specific day and time). Wheelchairs rent for $15 per day; electric scooters rent for $55 per full day or $35 for half a day. Security deposit of a driver's license, debit or credit card is required for rentals. Cash, check, credit or debit cards are acceptable forms of payment. Wheelchairs and scooters must be returned twenty minutes after exhibitors close.

Scooter and Wheelchair Reservations: It is highly suggested that patrons whishing to rent these mobility aids reserve them by visiting our website www.hometownmobilityia.com and Click on the Events / scooter reservations tab located in the upper left corner. Reservations can also be done by phone 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays, at 877-928-5388. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are limited to half of the units available so reserve early to be assured a unit.

 

Persons with Disabilities:

All major exhibit buildings at the Fairgrounds are ADA accessible. Wheelchairs, including motorized, can be brought on the Fairgrounds or can be rented at the Nebraska State Fair at the east entrance on a first come first serve basis.  Personal golf carts on the grounds are not allowed due to liability issues. Trained service animals are welcome at the State Fair.

 

There are parking areas available for vehicles with a handicap placard or license plate. Nebraska State Fair staff can direct you to the special handicap parking areas or you can see them on the Nebraska State Fair map.

With limited availability, there is a separate shuttle service with handicap accessible vans that is provided for State Fair patrons with disabilities in the Lincoln area. Those interested in using this free service, can call Transport Plus at 402-730-7303 to schedule an appointment to be picked up from their home and must call ahead to arrange a time.

 

Moms and Babies Lounge:

Presented by St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, the Advanced Baby Center is pleased to provide Moms and Babies Lounge.  Located in the Kidz Zone, The Moms and Babies Lounge offers a private, climate controlled area for moms and their babies.  The Lounge will be staffed by hospital professionals.  Educational information will also be available.

 

Automated Teller Machines (ATM):

Ready cash may be obtained from ATMs located in front of the Administration Building, the Grandstand and the Devaney Center.  See map direction.

 

Wi-Fi:

There will be Wi-Fi hot spots throughout the Fairgrounds.

 

Radio:

Tune in your radio to 88.9 FM for information and announcements.

 

Emergency Services:

Emergency services may be obtained by reporting your situation to any State Patrol, Paramedic, or Security Officer on patrol.

 

First Aid Services:

For minor emergency services, the First Aid Station is located in the Morton Building, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.  Also open 10:00 am to 9:00 pm Sunday through Thursday. Refer to map for directions.
