Barn Tours
August 28 - August 29 and September 5-7
Experience a barn tour and learn more about the livestock and animals seen in Nebraska farms and ranches. Barn tours are offered on the weekends and Labor Day. You can sign up for the barn tours outside the SE corner of the Coliseum of across from the Farmland Building in front of the 4-H beef barn..
Cyberfair
Located in Farmland Building
Experience the connection between 4-H and technology at the nationally recognized Cyber Fair. Enjoy the Backyard Living Display, Operation: Military Kids, a giant inflatable movie screen, the Dell Cyber Cafe, Digital Video Pro, XaviX Healthy Lifestyles Zone, a shooting sports gallery and more! There are state-of-the-art computers that showcase Nebraska produced and created material promoting 4-H and the use of technology. Through the use of hands-on cutting edge technology exhibits, guests are encouraged to explore and interact with exhibits in the areas of animal science, communication and expressive arts, consumer and family science, healthy lifestyles, environment education and earth science, leadership and citizenship, plant science, and science and technology.

Fishing Friendzy "the GET HOOKED tour"
Located in the NW corner of the Devaney
Fishing Friendzy is an educational, interactive fishing world for the whole family, dedicated to creating a fantastic experience that will leave a positive memory. Set your hook, line and sinker into this adventure and get caught up in the friendzy of fishing. Experience 9 different interactive activity stations including Bait shop, Fish Derby, Fisheye View, Knots of Fun, Create a Fish, Reel Race, Tackle Box, Bulls Eye and Catch of the Day.
Frog Jumping Championships
Located in Kidz Zone
With your help, as volunteer frog trainers chosen from the audience, each frog contestant gets three jumps to make their distance. Each frog trainer receives a Certificate of Participation.
Steve Trash Solo Green Magic Show, Environmental Magician
Strolling the grounds
The Original Eco-Magician! The Steve Trash Green Magic Show makes magic with trash for educational fun. He recycles an aluminum can right before your eyes and he'll even figure out what green thought you're thinking. Steve Trash - Rockin' Eco Hero is fun, funny, magical and he was green way before green was cool.
Hedrick's Animal Petting Zoo and Camel & Pony Rides
Located in Kidz Zone
Take a ride on a camel or pony and try petting and feeding exotic animals.
Nebraska's Largest Classroom
Thursday, September 4 - Located throughout the fairgrounds
Nebraska’s Largest Classroom is a self-guided field trip where students and teachers have the opportunity to enjoy all the hundreds of exhibits and grounds entertainment that are intended to educate, entertain, and encourage lifelong learning. Public and home schools are invited to participate in Nebraska’s Largest Classroom. In the past, approximately 2,500 students, K-6th grade, and teachers that represent over 80 public, private, and home schools have attended this event.
Livestock Birthing Pavilion
Located in the Kidz Zone
The Livestock Birthing Pavilion is a large-animal birthing area, a farrowing area and a poultry hatching area giving State Fair guests the opportunity to witness live animal births, overseen by trained professionals from the University of Nebraska Pre-Vet Medicine Program.
The Fiber Glass Milking Cow
Located in Ag Hall
Presented by the Nebraska Dairy Council and Nebraska Farm Bureau, guests enjoy a three dimensional cow that allows a realistic hands on milking experience.
