The following were some examples of the displays and exhibits at the 2008 Nebraska State Fair:
Ag Equipment Display
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located in East Exhibit Area & Market Place
Guests saw the showcase of Agriculture Equipment on display.
Antique Farm Machinery Display
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located in East Exhibit Area
Antique tractors and other antique farm machinery were on display.
Art, Essay, and Science Displays
August 22 through September 1, 2008- Located in Northwest Hallway, Lower Level of Devaney
Presented by the Education Department, guests saw art, essay, and science displays.
Commercial Exhibits
August 22 through September 1, 2008 - Located in Devaney, Expo Building, and Market Place
The Nebraska State Fair had many commercial exhibitors displayed throughout the fairgrounds.
Department of Agriculture Exhibit
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located in Ag Hall
Guests learned more about what Nebraska agriculture means to the state by seeing exhibits about the processes, products, and innovations of the industry.
4-H Exhibits
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located in 4-H Exhibit Hall
Guests saw various 4-H exhibits from Nebraskan students involved in the 4-H club.
Game & Park Display
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located on Main Street
Game and Parks let guests experience Nebraska’s outdoors through its numerous animal displays and shooting range, virtual fishing, and archery ranges.
Grow Nebraska General Store Commercial Exhibit
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located in Ag Hall
The Grow Nebraska Country Store was packed full of unique gifts created by Nebraska artists. From homemade candles to beautifully painted furniture, the Country Store promised a spectacular showcase of artistic Nebraska talent!
Heritage Village
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located on Main Street
Heritage Village was bustling with activities with the Gooseman and the Puddle Jumpers, Bill Hawkins, and the Nebraska Sandhills Exhibit featuring Mari Sandoz. The Mari Sandoz and the Nebraska Sandhills Exhibit was located in the Hudson Cabin.
Model Train Display
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located in the Southeast Corner of the Devaney Center Commercial Exhibit
Guests checked out the large model train display.
Quilt Display
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located in the Devaney Center arena
Quilts were on display for viewing.
State Patrol Exhibit
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located in the Morton Building
The State Patrol had a variety of demonstrations and exhibits about safety.
UNL Food Products Commercial Exhibits
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located in Lancaster Building
Nebraska entrepreneurs showcase a variety of Nebraska food products.
Zimmatic Center Pivot Misting Exhibit
August 22 through September 1, 2008 – Located west of Heritage Village
Presented by Lindsay Corporation, guests were able to cool off in the heat under the Zimmatic Center Pivot Misting Exhibit.
