The Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation is pleased to announce three new officers to its board of directors.
Kurt Yost has been appointed Chairperson for the 1868 Foundation. Kurt is president/CEO of the Nebraska Independent Community Bankers Association and has been employed by the group of privately owned bankers for 24-years. He is involved in the work of the Nebraska State Fair Foundation as they try to make a difference with the evolving and exciting opportunities that State Fair Park faces. He is married to Marcia and they have between them 7 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
Cheryl Stubbendieck has been appointed vice-chairperson for the 1868 Foundation. Cheryl is the Vice President of Public Relations for the Nebraska Farm Bureau, Nebraska’s largest agricultural organization, and has been with the company since 1982. She has joined the Board of Directors because she believes the State Fair is an important part of Nebraska's culture and community. It’s a showcase for the best of Nebraska, its people, products and ideas. Farm Bureau is pleased with the Fair’s recent emphasis on agriculture and wants to play a role in increasing rural Nebraska’s involvement in the Fair. She is married to James and has two sons, Aaron and Reed.
Bob Caldwell has been appointed secretary/treasurer for the 1868 Foundation. He is president/CEO and a director of Hampton Enterprises, Inc. and Hampton Commercial Construction, Inc. Caldwell also serves as vice chairman and director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka and is chairman of the Lincoln Employers Coalition which represents many of Lincoln’s largest companies. He supports the Foundation because it is a way to enhance Lincoln’s economy and strengthen the mission of State Fair Park. Bob is married to Beth and they have one daughter Annelyn.
